Pastor Hyujae “Jae” Lee
Pastor Jae graduated from Garrett Evangelical Seminary in 2000 in Master of Divinity and in 2002 in Master of Art on Christian Ethics and he has been serving Woodstock First United Methodist Church since July 2018.
With many years of experience serving local churches as a student pastor and lead pastor, he has brought new challenges and goal for the future of Woodstock FUMC. His ministerial strengths are Christian education including discipleship and mission.
He has led many oversea mission trips to South Korea, Czech Republic, Haiti including many domestic mission trip opportunities to the churches that he served. And Woodstock FUMC oversea mission trip team is working for a Korea mission trip in 2020.
He has been providing a vibrant and inspired worship service to the congregation and the community.
Bev has been on staff since June 2006. She has seen many changes over the past 13 years and has served under four pastors. She has served on several committees throughout her 45 years as a member of Woodstock First United Methodist Church.
She and her husband recently celebrated their 48th wedding anniversay. They have 2 adult sons and daughter-in-laws with 5 beautiful grandchildren to keep them busy.
She has lived in Woodstock for 47 years.
Church Custodian/Preschool Teacher
She has been on staff at the church since 2000. She and her husband John have 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren. They have lived in Woodstock all of their lives and have been members of this church for 42 years. Bonnie has attended this church since she was 5 years old.
Bonnie and her husband enjoy helping the homeless in the community. When they are able, they enjoy riding their Harley and are active in the Bikers for Chirst Ministry.
My passion for organ began in my teen years. I have been a church organist for over 50+ years. The organ sets the tone for worship and i strive to set that tone if playing weddings, funerals or worship services.
Sunday School Superintendent
Karen Hendrickson walks to church at FUMC with her husband Todd and twin, 11 year old boys, Cody and Dakota. She has been active in the children’s ministry at FUMC for over 7 years and took over as the Christian Education Superintendent 4 years ago. She was an inaugural member in several local Mom’s groups that provide social, educational, and self-help resources to local Moms & families in McHenry County. Karen is a member of the FUMC trustees, delivers Meals on Wheels to seniors with Catholic Charities, and an active participant in Woodstock PTOs. Additionally, she is Colonel in the USAF and serves as the Commander of the 183 Air Component Operations Squadron in the Air National Guard in Springfield, IL.
